Natural Disasters
Causes:
Earthquakes can knock down and damage hardware.
Floods can cause liquids to enter the hardware and destroy the data
Rare but does happens sometimes.
Solution:
Save your files physically, print them out or save them in a HDD or USBs so that even when your device is no longer working or damaged your file is still there.
Offsite storage

Causes::
- Accidental deletion.
- Accidently shutting down midway.
3.Spilling liquid near your devices causing physical damage to the devices causing data loss.
Solutions:
Be more mindful of your surroundings.
Continuously save your files midway through.
Use online storage such as icloud and etc.
Redundancy/Removable media

Threat from 'within'
Causes:
Employees intentionally deleting or corrupting files to disturb the company or leak classified information.
Solution:
Take better care of your employees and have a close eye on them and be always aware of what they're doing and why they're doing it.
Software Corruption
Causes: Infections by Malware, issues with physical hardware, voltage spikes, sudden loss of power, interruption of writing data
Consequences: The software may not be able to be opened anymore. The data that the software produces will be corrupted and unreadable. Data stored in the software will be lost.
Prevention methods: store data in removable media or upload and backup to the cloud regularly. Dedicate an offsite storage facility to backup data regularly
