School Goal: The percentage of all students in grades 3-8 and 10 who take the test and who earn achievement levels of Meets the Standards or Exceeds the Standards in Math on all accountability tests (MCA, MTAS) will increase from 74.9% in 2021-22 to 77.5% in 2022-23.

SMART Goal: The percentage of students in 5th Grade Math scoring at College Pathway on their Math FAST Test in the Spring of 2023 will be at least 70% (113/161). Currently, the percentage of students at College Pathway is at 55.9% (90/161).

District Goal: The percentage of all students in grades 3-8 and 10 who take the test and who earn achievement levels of Meets the Standards or Exceeds the Standards in Math on all accountability tests (MCA, MTAS) will increase from 74.9% in 2021-22 to 77.5% in 2022-23.

Reality: In the spring of 2022, 5th Grade Math students scoring at College Pathway on their Math FAST Test was 62.%.
Currently in my two math classes I have 48% (25/52) of the students scoring at College Pathway on their Math FAST Test.

Stretch Goal: All 5th-grade math students in my classes will score at College Pathway on their spring Math FAST Test.

Evidence

Strategies to Achieve Goals

1.Identify areas of improvement from last year's FAST Tests and develop strategies to improve student learning in those areas.

  1. Continue to update and improve common formative and summative assessments.
  1. Monitor students that are not currently on the college pathway score

Formative Assessments will be given once a month.

Provide reteaching opportunities when necessary-small and whole group

Pull into small groups as necessary during independent work time.

  1. Provide students with the opportunities to retake any assessments they scored a partial or do not meet on.
  1. Share a variety of different tools (math games, practice, websites with families to reinforce skills at home.
  1. Analysis of student assessment scores from common formative and summative assessments.
  1. Identify and list students who are in need of small groups and intervention support. Continually monitor those students and determine areas of need for specific students.
  1. Detailed description of weaknesses of data from previous years FAST Test and strategies to improve student learning.
  1. Monitor students who retake tests and identify specific skills and concepts that students are struggling with.
  1. Create a shareable document with a list of all student games, websites, and practice opportunities to share with families. Post the document to the district website and post it in Google Classroom for all students to see.

Set small goals for students and praise them when they meet the goal

Identify students on a weekly and monthly basis and recognize them in front of their peers

Inform familes when student learning is improving

Set class goals and celebrate with fun activities when they achieve it
