Primary Colors: Red, Green, and Blue
The Whys:
Why are Sunsets Orange, Red, and Yellow?: When there are more molecules in the air, that means the they scatter the blue and green light away. That means that the only primary color left is red, but there is still some hints of green. The green and red makes the yellow.
Why is the Sky blue?: The sky is blue because when the sunlight reaches the Earth's atmosphere, the molecules spread the blue light more than the green and red, due to the fact that the blue wave lengths are much shorter than red and green, meaning it travels faster.
Why are all the objects around us different colors, when usually only white light shines on them?: The objects that have a pure white light shined on them reflect the wave lengths from that light back, showing the pure color. When other colors are shown on colored objects, that object takes some of the color wave lengths, slightly or drastically changing the color.
How is a rainbow made: The rain(which is clear) reflects from the sun, which bounces off different colors into different areas since light travels, and separates all of the wave lengths(colors) from that singular droplet
