rocks

three types of rocks

sedimentary

metamophic

igneous

when lava erupts from volcano and cool to form a rock. the slower the rock cools the more crystals intrusive rocks cool slower and have more crystals and extrusive cool faster and less crystals

weathering and erosion breaks the rocks it gets transported ny the sea and deposited on the seabed and then more layers cement and compact it together

when a rock goes under heat and pressure and forms a new rock

structure of the earth

mantle

outer core

crust

inner core

outer layer supports life

molten magma 85% of eath

liquid iron + nicel

solid iron + nicel

volcanoes

magma comes out

cools and turns into a rock

keeps happening and forms a volcanoes

fossils

only in sedimentary rocks

a animal dies

body goes seabed

bones are left and sediment builds up

bones decompose and fossil is left

weathering

chemical

biological

physical

freeze thaw

freeze water in cracks it expands and cracks the rocks

acid dissolves into water and rain and attacks the rocs it lands on

humans walking animals digging and seeds dropped in rocks that grow into trees and break the rock
