Many Roman buildings are still standing, this is evidence of how good their architecture was, it has many connections with Greek architecture, with pillars.
Since the renaissance, pillars has been very popular throughout the world, most government buildings have, they usually have more pillars than a bridge. Because they have designs on the buildings, and the pillars on the bridge are used for support.
Language
The language that the Romans speak.

They still protect and carry water, and some of them are still used today.
Many fountains from Rome still use this.
The British copied the design cause they worked so well.

This also put trees on the side they can march while staying cool.
