What is the Earth's place in the Universe?
Claim: I claim the Earth was a planet formed 4.5 billion years ago that orbits the sun in our solar system. The earth is located inside the solar system located in the Milky Way galaxy.
Intro Connection: Baseball is a sport created in 1876 that has orbited around Cincinnati, Ohio, and has been in America ever since.

Space Project Big Bang
Claim: I claim the universe began from a singularity that suddenly expanded 13.8 billion years ago.
Evidence:
-If we were to play the expansion in reverse everything had to have started from a point.
-Every star in the galaxy is moving away from each other.(Redshift)
- 75% of all matter in the universe is Hydrogen the other percentage is made up of 23%, and the other 2% is made up of a lot of different elements.
Connection:
-This applies to my connection because baseball all started from a single point as well. Baseball started in Cinncinati, Ohio, and expanded all around. Baseball has become a big part of the sports world just like the Big Bang became a big part of the history of the universe our solar system, and Earth.

Space Project Stars
Claim: I claim that stars light up through the fusion of Hydrogen and Helium at more that ten million degrees celsius.
Evidence:
- When Hydrogen and Helium fuse it creates a main sequence star. (sun)
-A start of a star is a Stellular Nebula- a swirl of dust and gas from the Big Bang and star guts
-Threshold 3 states that very high temp and aging stars plus the Goldilocks Conditions such as stars running out of Hydrogen and collapsing stars equals chemistry and all of the periodic elements past lithium
Connection: Baseball is like stars because fusion of baseball teams created different leagues. But the teams all started from a swirl of mixed up teams without a league.All the ingredients such as leagues teams and division created the MLB.

Conclusion:
Claim: I claim the solar system works through a gravitational pull from the sun that puts all planets into a orbital rotation around it.
Evidence:
-Leftover clouds of chemically rich matter through accretion and collisions create planets.
-When the solar system is organized in the size of a football field the sun would be a dime, and the planets past the 50 are Neptune, Pluto, and other dwarf planets.
-The Earth's structure has three main layers- core, mantle, and it's crust.
Connection:
- THe MLB has 3 main structures similar to Earth. Those structures are mad up by the leagues, divisions, and teams. It is all organized in america/ Toronto. The left over teams from back in the early 1900s created ideas for the teams we know today. Like the Milwaukee Braves became the Atlanta Braves.

-What was the best thing you learned about space?
The best thing I learned about space is the "Solar System Tour" because it started to put the solar system into a better perspective about its size. Comparing it to the football field really put it into a better perspective.
-How has your understanding of Space changed?
My understanding has changed about space because I started to learn and try to understand how big the Milky Way and the universe are, and how it all started from a singularity.
-My connection applied to what I know about space because my connection explained how baseball is similar to how everything started with the Big Bang. My connection explains that it is similar because baseball just like the universe started from a single point and has expanded ever since around the world. Baseball expanded really fast in the 1930s as well just like the Big Bang, it started in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is all around America and the world.
