TYPES OF BEER
the MILD ALE
it is ENGLAND's NATIONAL DRINK. It is a type of TOP _ FERMENTED beer. It is usually DARK BROWN in colour, MILD in BODY and HOPPED with nutty and burnt flavours. IT is not very strong. The ABV is between 3 and 3, 5 %.
The INDIA PALE ALE
It is PALE in colour, and HOPPED and BITTER in character.
It is stronger and bitter than Mild Ale. the ABV is from 5% upwards .
The LAGER
It is the MOST POPULAR BEER in the world. It is a type of BOTTOM _FERMENTED beer. It can be LIGHT or DARK in colour, SWEET OR BITTER in character and it is very SPARKLING/CARBONATED. IT is QUITE STRONG - the ABV indeed is 5%.
the GOLDEN ALE
It is similar to LAGERS and is PALE AMBER, GOLDEN in colour, well-HOPPED in character and taste like biscuits. GOLDEN ALES are refreshing beers when served cool. The ABV goes from medium 3,5% to strong 5,3%.
the BITTER
It is GOLDEN or COPPER in colour, due to the use of dark crystal MALTS. It is HOPPED, BITTER and SPICY in character. It is low carbonated. The ABV ranges from light 3 % to medium 5%.
the STOUT
It is one of the STRONGEST BEERS. The ABV is between 6 and 8%. It is DARK in colour and BITTER because of the high quantity of HOPS. BUt stouts can also have a SWEET and DRY taste. They are also very CREAMY. The most typical stout beer is the IRISH "GUINESS".

BARLEY
it's a grain rich in starch. To get malt,
barley is first put in boxes to germinate and then it is dried.
The malted barley is then milled and mixed with water.

it is responsible for the fermentation process. Yeast transforms the sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide.
