her mother wishes the nina doesn't develop we can see that through her bedroom and the interactions between nina and her mother on a day to day basis

dreams about her and lily doing the deed and her make out with thomas contradict both our understanding of her sexuality and her ability to express her feelings both intimatly and platonically
Nina and herself - the relationship between self and self within nina is very known to the audience and the ability to connect herself to any sense of reality during the time she is working towards the black swan conveys her overall inability to comprehend the need to slow down. more restricted and tight with movements, and ninas first moments are seen in the mindset of being the white swan with her desire and obsession with being perfect

Beginning scene - the importance behind the beginning scene is that it gives a glimpse into the torment and the rollercoaster ride that the film is going to take the audience one, The scene where nina is dancing is fluid and the depth of meaning behind the first opening scene sets the tone for the film and builds the momentum for the film. While not disclosing to much information - it was not joyous not dark but basically allowed the foundation for the film to build upon
Ending - the importance of the ending of the film ultimately shows the price that is paid for perfection. when her obsession destroys her physically and mentality and she then pays the price. The mentality of nina and any reasoning is gone from her and she is no longer
how she desired for perfection but once she reached her goal she pays that price with breeching death and playing the cards of death.
she has gone through all the hallucinations, mindset, challenges with herself and the desire for perfection but ultimately paid the price when she lost herself and destroyed herself for a role
