Government: Warfare was not just the work of power- crazed kings, eager for glory
Writing: The author wrote that "it was deliberately kept complicated so that it was hard to master."This means that the hieroglyphics were not easy to read if you didn't study them. (Hart 34)
Architecture: The biggest pyramid built was the Great pyramid of Giza
Location: There is a lot of pyramids and some of them are almost the biggest in the world
Government: The soldiers half wear uncomfortable sandals and they half to carry heavy rocks up a hill
Religion: The priest had titles to indicate their power- they could be called "God's servant" with the addition of "First" Third to indicate their position
Ancient China
Government: In Ancient China the government was run by civil service. They would trade along the wall for other things.
Technology: The technology that they had was not very powerful for fighting off the enemies. They used this for the direction of the enemies.
Writing: On page 11 it said that the Shang kings used oracle bones to communicate with ancestors about questions. Also, it says that "cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question put to the ancestors." The answers to the questions were written on the bones. (Cotterell
Art: The art of Ancient China was painting, and drawing on the walls. The art was almost the same as it is now but they did art on the wall.
Trade: The Chinese traded along the wall for silk,gold, and other things. They would walk along the wall and trad for the war.
Religion: The chinese combined to make their own religion. They stayed behind the wall for protection.
Location: It is along the yellow river in East Asia. The trading route is called the Silk Road.
Indus River Valley/Aryans
Location:Around 5,000 years ago, a civilization developed along the Indus River. The Indus River covered most of the north part of Pakistan. Around the Indus River was good soil for crops and plants.
Religion: They have three different types of religion. They were heavily polytheistic. But all their religions were alike because they have similar rituals
Architecture/Technology: The people within the Indus Valley created well platformed cities. The earlier cities showed their older pieces. They usually build straight roads and large buildings
Writing: There are over 400 symbols that have been uncovered. They are hard to decipher their symbols. Their writing is on seals and pots.
