ancient china
government: In the text it says "Gaozu led one of the peasant armies that over through the Qin dynasty in 207 b.c although gaozu wa uneducated, when he realized the empire needs education administrators". This shows that he realized that the government needed it. Also, the test paper shows a candidate's answer so they would get more education.
technology: some of the world's best inventions were made in china. On page 22. "it says the middle ages many chinese inventions were carried along the silk road." (cotterell 22)
writing: on page 11, it said that the shang kinds use oracle bones to communicate with ancestors about questions. Also, it states that " cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question out to the ancestors. The answers to the questions were on the ox bones or tortoiseshell. (Cotterell)
commerce (trade) In the text it says " the mongol emperors ruled china from 1279 to 1368 and permitted merchants to trade freely throughout their vast empire". This shoes people throughout the silk road would use it for trade. Also international trade thrived because caravans could travel safely. (cottrell 58)
location: in the beginning of china which was around the yellowstone river. On page 10 it says , "The first chinese dynasty to leave a historical record was the shang. (cotterell 10)
religion: On page 12, it says that " confucius believed that early years of the Zhou Dynasty were golden years for social harmony. It also states that confucius encouraged worship to ancestors because it was said to strengthen family trusts.
art: In the text it says :china has always been renewed for its exquisite arts and crafts. " This shows when they renewed there arts and crafts. Also, they had luxury goods like chinese bronze, jade, silk, lacquer, and porcelain. (cottrell 56)

location; The author wrote that "most of ancient mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern iraq." Also mesopotamia included portions of the countries of turkey, syria, and iran. (steele 6)
writing; on page 12 the text says, "these were pressed into soft clay with a stylus, leaving a wedge shaped mark that then hardened. ''also over the centuries the mark began to represent sound and measuring. (steel 12)

architecture: this is a lasting symbol of ancient mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick. this is a building that has been in their history for 5 thousand dollars. (steele 24)

The author wrote " mesopotamians masters many technologies and crafts at the early point in their history." The text is saying that they modele clay into different bows, they melted copper and shaped it. (steel 28)

location : On page 8 it said that " the ancient Egyptians lived on a strip of land on either side of the nile." also, the text said states that the " red land, " small settlements are supported in wadis and oases, but most people live along the Nile river. (hart 8)

religion: The text said the Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses. Sometimes for this it was hard for them to figure out who goes with who. Many of them were represented as animals. (hart 24)
writing:on page 34 it says "scribe had to be experts in writing hieroglyphs , an elaborate from the picture- writing with about 700 different sights." Also, the book says there bunsins they had to do contract letters and stories and stories to work there job. (hart 34)
architecture:on page 20 it says "The first pyramid was built as the burial place of king djoser in 2650 BCE, by his grifter architect imhotep. Also the text says the king was to climb the pyramids to join the gods. (hart 20)
