government
The text states " In 221 B.C the chinese empire was formed. The Qin soldiers defeated the last of their enemies and united the "warring states" under one ruler, Zheng. To show his supremacy over the kings he had vanquished , Zheng took the Sovere Qin Emperor, or Quin Shi Huangdi." (cottrell 16)
Technology
China produced very unique technology within the time period of Ancient China. Since trading wasn't aloud they weren't inspired by any outside cultures Technology and formed their own unique stuff. that's when stuff like the compass, gunpowder, paper, bronze and iron casting were made.
Writing
In the text it said an ox bone or shell from a tortoise was burned until it cracked. Also, the text says " The Cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question put to the ancestors." The oracle bones were mainly used by the Shang kings. (Cottrell 11)
Commure (Trade)
Based on the text provided, i know that "Trade flourished under the Mogol, or yuan, dynasty. The mongol emperors ruled China from 1279 to 1368 and permitted merchants to freely trade throughout their vast empire." this gives you an idea on how Trade worked in Ancient China.
Art
China has always been known for it's unique Art. Painting and calligraphy, there were paintings such as landscapes that featured mountains, homes, birds, trees, and water. Most of the art also symbolizes stuff such as family, successful careers and love.
Location
China is located in Southeast Asia along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. It's also known to have a great source of things such as freshwater, food and oil.

Location
The author wrote that "most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq. Also, Mesopotamia included portions of the countries Turkey, Syria and Iran. (Steele 6)
Writing
Hieroglyphics are an original form of writing out of which all other forms have evolved. Two of the newer forms were called hieratic and demotic. Hieratic was a simplified form of hieroglyphics used for administrative and business purposes, as well as for literary, scientific and religious texts.
Religion
The pages state "The crescent moon was said to be the boat of the moon god, sin the full moon was his crown." Also, The city of Ur, where he was worshiped under the name of Nanna."
Art
The ancient Egyptian language had no word for "art". Artworks served an essentially functional purpose that was bound with religion and ideology. To render a subject in art was to give it permanence. Therefore, ancient Egyptian art portrayed an idealized, unrealistic view of the world. :
Goverment
Type of Government: Mesopotamia was ruled by kings. The kings only ruled a single city though, rather than the entire civilization. For example, the city of Babylon was ruled by King Hammurabi. Each king and city designed the rules and systems that they thought would be most beneficial for their people.
Archiculture
The Egyptians grew a variety of crops for consumption, including grains, vegetables and fruits. However, their diets revolved around several staple crops, especially cereals and barley. Other major grains grown included einkorn wheat and emmer wheat, grown to make bread.
Ancient Egypt
Location
Ancient Egypt was located in Northeastern Africa and had four clear geographic zones: the Delta, the Western Desert, the Eastern Desert, and the Nile Valley. Each of these zones had its own natural environment and its own role within the Egyptian State.
Writing
The ancient Egyptians used the distinctive script known today as hieroglyphs (Greek for "sacred words") for almost 4,000 years. Hieroglyphs were written on papyrus, carved in stone on tomb and temple walls, and used to decorate many objects of cultic and daily life use.
Art
In ancient Egypt, art was magical. Whether in the form of painting, sculpture, carving or script, art had the power to maintain universal order and grant immortal life by appealing to various gods to act on behalf of people – both in life and in death. Art was everywhere.
Religion
The Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses, And sometimes it is difficult to work out who was who. Many of the gods are represented by animals: a baboon might stand for Thoth, god of wisdom, at one temple, and a moon god named Khonsu
Goverment
The government of ancient Egypt was a theocratic monarchy as the king ruled by a mandate from the gods, initially was seen as an intermediary between human beings and the divine, and was supposed to represent the gods' will through the laws passed and policies approved.
Architecture
The best known example of ancient Egyptian architecture are the Egyptian pyramids, while excavated temples, palaces, tombs, and fortresses have also been studied. Most buildings were built of locally available mud brick and limestone by levied workers.
