Government: on page 18 it says that " The earliest members of the imperial civil service were recruited by Guzos (206-195 B.C), the first Han emperor. Technology: In the text it says that " and Printings were possibly the most important Chinese inventions. It also says that they made bookshops and trading routs all over China. Page 24. (Cotterell)
Writing:On page 11, it said that the "Used oracle bones to consult the ancestral spirits on important matters." Also, answers from important questions were answered from the cracks on the oracle bones that were inscribed on ox bone and tortoiseshell. (Cotterell)
Commerce (Trade): On page 58 it says that the Silk Road traveled through China and Asia. It also says that the Silk Road could be dangerous because there might be a big fight somewhere. (Cotterell)
Art: on page 56 it says " In imperial China, Luxury, goods formed the major export commodities -Chinese bronze, jade, silk, lacquer, and porcelain were prized in Asia and Europe." Also it says that "From the Shang sophisticated techniques, many were mass- produced."
Location: on page 38 it says that "in the China dominated by to great rivers, the yellow river in northern China and the Yangzi in the south." In the text it also says that the river's waterway stretches across the China emperor. (Cotterell)
Religion: On page 10 it says " The first Chinese Dynasty to leave a historical record was the Shang. In the text it also says that the king asked for other people blessings and he held power in the ill war??? (Cotterell)
Mesopotamia
Location: in the text it say's that the Greeks called the area of Mesopotamia, which means "between the rivers" Also, in the text it states that " most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq." (Steele 6)
Writing: In the text it says that Ziggurats are a symbol of ancient Mesopotamia. I know it's because the text states ''A lasting symbol of ancient Mesopotamia is the Ziggurats.'' Also, in the text it states, ''It represented a mountain, stretching from earth to the heavens.'' (Steele 24)
Architecture: The text says that Architecture provides insights into the daily lives, belief systems, hierarchies, and aspirations of their people as well a sense of connection. How they made their structures is with mud bricks and straws. This proves with how they made their homes and why they used Architecture.
Religion: The text says that a " The Sumerians worshiped many gods and goddesses". They believe that some of the empers where choosenby the gods. Some of the empers or kings thought that they revoled around the earth becuase if they go to a room at 7:45 pm the sun will be gone, and if they go to their room at 7:45 am he goes to a differnt room and the sun will be on thtat side.
Government: in the text is said. "They gave them names such as em. enis, or lugal". On page ten it said they also that the government was ruled by Kings, And that he kings only ruled a single city though, rather than the entire civilization.
Art: The text says technologies and craft at an early point in there history. By 3000 bce, metalworkers were mixing tin with the copper to produce the tough alloy called bornez. This text proves how technology and crafts help out in the bce
Ancient Egy
Government: The text says. The [Egyptian government was considered a sort of thercoy, as the pharaoh was given political and religious powers. " When people approached the King, they often kissed the ground at his feet". This shows us that the king had absolute power, and the people worship him. (Heart 13)
Archeiecture: The author wrote that "The pyramids were intended to protect the bodies of the pharaohs buried deep inside of them." The text also states that "It was supposed to represent a gigantic stairway for the king to climb to join the Sun god in the sky." (Hart 20)
Location: The text says, that in ancient Egypt, "desert covers more than 90 percent of Egypt," and this was called "Red Land." Also, the text states that for thousands of years, the population of Egypt has depended on its fertile agricultural resources. ( Heart 8)
Art: On page 50, the text states "People were entertained with singing and music for flutes, harps, and castanets." The text also states that the Egyptians celebrated music day and night and that it is a large part of their culture. (Hart 50) 
Religion: The text says, There was over 700 different sings for writing and pictures. The text also says that for business contracts, letters and stories, scribes used a different from of writing. ( Heart 36)
Writing: Writing: The author wrote that hieroglyphs are an elaborate form of picture writing. The text also states "It was deliberately kept complicated so not too many people could master it." (Hart 34)
