Issues
Architectural issues
A product that can fit in easily with the build and curves and corners of the house, whether big or small: something that could be built into the wall or into the door so that it takes up the least amount of space possible, some kind of platform built and specially designed for your specific animal to be groomed - including brushing and haircuts.
The products must be either small, deconstruct able or be able to be flat packed, the product must be stable and strong enough to hold animals of many different sizes, the product must be able to be built into a wall or door if wanting to.
For pet owners with a small amount of space to have much furniture for their pet, pet owners who want to do grooming and hair cutting at home, or people who want to start a business of grooming animals and need furniture for them.
Wearable issues
Something that the animal can somehow wear on them at all times, so it is at the client's disposal out and about: a built-in pocket in harnesses that pets wear most of the time out and about, a way to attach your pets' products to you in an easy and accessible way - or a way to make using it much easier such as strapping the brush to your hand, collapsible water bowl for long walks or days out.
The product should be small so that it can easily be worn or attach the product to the person without looking or feeling bulky or getting in the way.
-
Education issues
A way to educate animal owners on how to properly look after and groom their animal: an information leaflet that is mandatorily handed out, a class that is taught to those with animals that are known to matt or have very high maintenance hair, an interactive game that hold peoples attention while informing them on how to take care of their animals, a book written specifically for different breeds and gives detailed information about how to groom their pet.
These products MUST be engaging and an easy read so that all people, whether good readers or not, can receive the critical information that will give their pet the best life possible.
-
Storage issues
Somewhere to store the pets' brushes and care products: efficient, hideaway type cupboards that no animal could open and possibly destroy it's treatment or brushes, some type of cover for brushes that are used on the animal or sticky rollers that are used on carpets and furniture so that these types of products remain untouched by anyone after being used, an organization tray for different sized and assorted brushes used on the client's pet or pets so that treatments for different animals don't get mixed up and used incorrectly.
The product must be able to be completely sealed off from the animals in the house so nothing is dismantled or destroyed by them.
For pet owners with very high maintenance grooming required so that they have to have specific tools and need the organizing.
Graphic issues
Something graphic and entertaining that can tell/show people about how to groom their pets: animated graphic posters and leaflets to show people in an engaging way, how to look after your animal, short film or animation about how to look after your animal - or about what could be the repercussions of NOT looking after your animals correctly.
the products should be short and engaging to read but also have all the major information that a new or inexperienced pet owner should need to know.
For recent or uninformed pet owners, or owners who learn more visually.
Product issues
Simple and practical products to make it easier to groom and wash pets: a compartment with treats in to keep the pet occupied while they are groomed and washed, quick and easy way to wash paws without the pet getting scared by the water or having to get them in the bathtub, a comfortable hammock/holder that keeps your pet still and happy while being groomed or having their nails clipped.
Products must be simple and easy to use and efficient at keeping pets preoccupied or comfortable so that grooming can be finished swiftly and not upset them
For all pet owners, mainly those who need to regularly wash their pet themselves rather than them doing it themselves - dog owners, especially for those with nervous pets.
