Mesopotamia
location:On page 6, it said that "from around 3500 BCE, the first cities, states, and empires arose." Mesopotamia includes different regions like mountains and reed-filled wetlands. (Steele)
Writing: In the on page 12 it say "Early people who lived as hunters and nomads did not need written records." As the first cities arose people began to require records of ownership, business devised the worlds first.
Architecture:In the text it says that "A lasting symbol Ancient Mesopotamia is the ziggurat, a massive terraced platform made of brick.' "It represented a mountain,stretching from earth to heavens." (Steele 24)
Religion: In the text it said that"The Sumerians worshiped many gods and goddesses. They believed that the stars traveling across the night sky were the cows of sin or Nanna, the horned Moon god." (Steel)

writing:the egyptians wrote with pictures these pictures were called hieroglyphs. in the text it also says "hieroglyphics were a picture writing with about 700 different sign." HEART
Architecture:On page 20 it says "The first pyramid was built as the burial place of the king djoser in c. 2650 BCE by his gifted architect imhotep(pp. 34-35)."

Religion:on page 24 it says they believed in many gods and goddess." "It also say the rulers of egypt is a direct choice from gods".

Art:on page 56 you can see gold and different kinds of gems.

Writing:on page 11, it said that the Shag kings used oracle bones to communicate with ancestors about questions. It also states that "cracks were then read to answer a question put to the ancestors." The answers to the questions were written on the oxe/tortoise bones. (Cotterell)

Indus River Valley/Aryans
location: "Around 5,000 years ago, a civilization developed along the Indus River alluvial plain (floodplain), in South Asia, due to the large amount of fertile land and proximity to a water source." Religion:The Aryans spoke a language called sanskrit. The Ancient Aryans were polothiestic. Hinduism was heavily influenced and later developed. (Prentice hall world studies)
