- - - - Provides Guidance to Subordinates:
        
        By defining a leader within a business means that there is someone within the organization that can provide guidance for all employees within the organization. Leaders provide guidance to subordinates by providing ways to improve workers effectiveness and efficiency which align with the organization’s goals.
      - Build Confidence:
        
        If businesses define a leader within the organization allows for there to be an ever-growing confidence within the workplace. This can be done by leaders providing subordinates with positive feedback on work efforts or constructive criticism in order to achieve their goals effectively.
      - Helps Motivate Employees:
        
        Defining a leader within a business helps motivate employees within the organization. Leaders are able to motivate employees with economic rewards ensuring the works gets done in order to achieve organizational goals.
      - Builds Morale of Employees:
        
        Defining a leader within an organization allows for there to a boost in morale within the organization. This is done leaders showing willingness to co-operate with their employees and instilling trust within their subordinates to get achieve the organizations goals. Leaders can boost morale by being cooperative with their subordinates in order for them to perform to the best of their abilities to reach targets.
      - Initiates Action in the Organization:
        
        A leader within a business is the individual who initiates action in the business. This is done by communicating any policies or plans put in place in order to achieve the organizations goals.
- - - - Any good leader should have the skill of problem-solving. This means they have the ability to resolve any issues that may arise within the organization. Leaders who have the skill of problem-solving should be able to stay calm when issues arise and should be able to identify the most effective solution to the resolve the issue. If a leader has good problem-solving skills allows for decisions to be made quickly ensuring that the organization goals are achieved with minimal delays.
    - - Decisiveness refers to how quickly a leader can make a decision based off the amount and quality of information that they have. Being an effective leader means leaders can make decisions quickly with the information that is provided to them. Decisiveness is one of the most valuable skills any leader can possess due to the fact that it can help the organization improve its efficiency and move any projects along faster in order to achieve the organizations goals.
    - - Being a leader means you should have the ability or skill to build a strong and collaborative team that are aligned with the goals of the organization. A leader with the leadership skill of team building requires a supporting skills such as effective communication and conflict resolution. Team building is one of the key skills any leader needs as it makes the communication of tasks and responsibilities more effective in order to achieve the organizations goals.
    - - A leader with the skill of dependability means that their subordinates can trust and rely on them. A leader with the skill of dependability is a leader who follows through on the plans set out for them in order to achieve the goals of the organization.
    - - A leader who has the skills of integrity is someone who is known for their truthfulness and honesty but also someone who has strong values. Being a leader with integrity means that you as a leader can make ethical decisions that can help maintain the positive image of the organization. Having an integrity as a leader allows for the encouragement of the most truthful and fair outcomes from your subordinates. If a leader has the skill of integrity helps set a positive example for their subordinates in the pursuit of achieving the organizations goals.

        The leadership theory of situations emphasizes how context plays a significant role for leaders within an organization. The leadership theory of situations underlines how leaders should adjust to the shifting of context in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. This is done by leaders making judgements that are beneficial for the organization in order to achieve the organizational goals.
        
        The leadership theory of situations identify that the way in which leaders lead are greatly influenced by the competence and dedication of their subordinates in order to achieve the organizations goals.
        
        Leaders who use the leadership theory of situations are able to develop a connection with their subordinates within an organization and are able to encourage their subordinates to work effectively and efficiently. These leaders are also able to change their leadership approach based off the situation they find themselves in within an organization. They are also able to develop their team of subordinates.
        
        The leadership theory of situations distinguishes four main leadership style used in the leader ship theory. The first one being the style of telling which is the leadership style of a leader instructing their subordinates on what needs to be done and how to get it done. They should also have the leadership style of selling which means that they are able to persuade their subordinates to accept the ideas or goals they set out for the organization. Another leadership style a leader should have when implementing the leadership theory of situations is that of participating. This means that they are able to encourage their subordinates actively participate in the problem-solving or decision-making processes within an organization. Lastly, they should have the leadership skill of delegating meaning leaders limit their involvement when trying to achieve the goals of the organization.
      - The theory of contingencies
        
        The leadership theory of contingencies states that there is no one right way to run an organization. The leadership theory of contingencies states that in order to determine an optimal strategy for leading an organization is dependent on both internal and external factors.
        
        There are elements that influence the leadership style used by a leader within an organization based off the theory of contingencies. Two of the major influences on leadership styles used in the leadership theory of contingencies is the approach taken by the leader of an organization along with the policies implemented within an organization based of the culture of the organization. Another element that has great influence the rate in which work is completed to achieve the goals of an organization.
        
        The spirit of the subordinates of an organization along with the level of maturity of subordinates within an organization also has a great impact on the management styles used within the contingency’s leadership theory. Following that the relationship between subordinates within an organization has a great influence on the leadership style implemented by leader within an organization.
      - The great man theory
        
        The great man leadership theory is one of the first leadership theories that makes the assumption that the qualities of a leader are characteristic to the type of person they are. This means that this leadership theory indicates that individuals are born with the characteristics that make a good leader rather than learning the characteristics that make a good leader.
        
        The great man leadership theory states that leaders are born with certain characteristics that make them great leaders. The leadership theory of great man suggests that some leaders are born with the characteristics of being decisive and daring. Not only that but they are born with the characteristics of wisdom. They also have the characteristic of being assertive in a leadership position.
        
        The great man leadership theory emphasizes the fact that some individuals cannot be taught to be effective leaders but rather leadership is a quality that individuals either have or don’t have. The theory suggests that the abilities of being a leader comes naturally to these individuals therefore, these abilities can’t be learnt or individuals can’t receive training for them. The theory holds the idea that leadership qualities remain constant over time and apply to the leader that possesses them in all organizations they involve themselves in.
      - The theory of transformation
        
        The transformational theory outlines the relationship between leaders and their subordinates. The theory also outlines how the relationship between a leader and their subordinates can help the organization. The transformational leadership theory argues the fact that effective leaders can inspire their subordinates to go above and beyond what they are capable of. Leaders who implement the transformational leadership theory within an organization develop a vision for their subordinates and motivate them in order for them to realize it and align themselves with the vision.
        
        The transformational leadership theory is used by leaders within an organization to boost the morale of their subordinates and inspire them to achieve the goals of the organization. By leaders boosting the morale of their subordinates and inspiring them there will be a greater performance output by their subordinates. Leaders using this leadership theory prioritize failed processes and employ subordinates who get along well in order to achieve the goals of the organization.
        
        Leaders who implement the transformational leadership theory within an organization are able to self-manage and are often great at setting an example for their subordinates. Leaders who use the transformational leadership theory place a high priority on interactions in order to achieve the organizations goals. These leaders often take a proactive approach in their work and promote the development of their subordinates. Leaders who use the transformational leadership theory are often receptive to any fresh ideas or concepts thrown their way by their subordinates and take the chances needed to progress the organization by making difficult decisions.
      - The behaviorist theory
        
        The behaviorist leadership theory suggests that a individuals leadership abilities are based off the environment they find themselves in. This is down to the fact that different learning abilities contribute to the effectiveness in which leaders lead their subordinates. The behaviorist leadership theory outlines that leaders are formed and trained to be leaders rather than being born with the natural ability to lead.
        
        This means that the theory is based off the idea that a leader’s performance is not influenced by their inherent traits but rather the qualities that have been driven or developed by their behavior. The behaviorist leadership theory suggests that anyone has the ability to become a great leader with the right training or instruction on how to do so.
        
        The theory also suggests that the best way for leaders to boost the performance and morale of their subordinates they need to be mindful of their own behavior first. The behaviorist leadership theory classifies leaders into different categories based off the leadership styles they use.
        
        Some of the categories that leaders can be classified into based off their leadership styles are those of leaders who are tasked focused leaders and leaders who put people first. They can also be separated into leaders who may be more apathetic and effective leaders or leaders who are more dictational.
      - The management theory
        
        The management leadership theory was developed in order to boost the productivity within organizations. The management leadership theory is one that has great emphasis on the value of a hierarchy within an organization which in return boosts the effectiveness of the organization that the leadership theory is implemented in. Leaders in an organization that use the management leadership theory place a huge importance on structure within the organization. These leaders use their authority in order to enforce rules that will help inspire the best possible performance from their subordinates.
        
        Using the management leadership theory leaders reward their subordinates based of the achievement of the organization’s goals. Following that the leadership theory implies that all subordinates of the leader must comply with the goals and objectives set out by the leader.
        
        Leaders within an organization that use the management theory ensure that they keep a keen eye on their subordinates, therefor rewarding them for reaching the goals and objectives set out for them by the leader. This leadership theory also makes it clear that subordinates are disciplined if they do not reach the organizational goals set out for them.
        
        Leaders who use the management leadership theory within an organization are able to target any immediate objectives or goals set out for the organization. They also favour any standardized processes used in order to achieve the goals of the organization. Leaders who implement the management theory within an organization discourage any original thoughts that are presented to them by their subordinates and generally emphasize their own interests. At the same time, they encourage effective performance from their subordinates.
