Ancient China
Government: The text says the past 250 years of the chinese empire, throne had been used by munchus. Also it says that the last rulers were enlightened supported chine culture. The empire ended when china had became a republican government. ( cotterell)
Technology: In the text it said they had started to create their most popular inventions during the middle ages. Like the silk road the silk road was also brought to europe. They had also made gunpowder and has changed many battles for them. ( Cortel 22)
Writing: In the text it said an ox bone or shell from a tortoise was burned until it cracked. Also the text says that the cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question put to the ancestors. The oracle bones were mainly used by the shang kings. (Cottrell 11)
Commence (Trade): The text says that trade had flourished during the yuan dynasty. This happened because of the silk road where there was no danger in sight. They traded silk, spices, teas, porcelain, and lacquerware. (cotterell) 58
Art: I know that there are some important things for arts and crafts in ancient china they high valued bronze,jade, silk, lacquer they also contained porcelain and many other goods.They had learned many techniques passed down from the Shang dynasty. Passed down to more ect, most of their rulers were in charge of the materials. ( Cotterell 56)
Location: The text talks about two great rivers. They are the Yellow river and the Yangize river. Both of these rivers were used to transport things downstream. (Cotterell 38)
Religion: In the text it says that confucius had believed in his people that his life was going all wrong. He had also believed that good rulers set by being a leader. He had created a new way of being a kind person for everyone. (cotterell) p.g 12
Mesopotamia
Location: In the text it said this area was home to sumerians,Assyrians and Babylonians, and they created writing and many other inventions also according t the text most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern iraq
writing: The story of the cuneiform is abou there about there langue the text it says the sumerians devised the worlds first scripter writing system.Also included in the text it says at first they used picture symbols to represent objects such as cattle grain or fish
architecture: in the text it says that the Sumerians built ziggurats for godesses. they also built the babel.
Religion: In text they believe the stars are the cows of the moon god. also the sumerians believed in ghosts, spirits and demons
Government: The author wrote sumerian rulers enjoyed great power and fame and their exploits and deeds were remembered for centries sumerian kings clamied to rule by the will of the gods
Art: The art of hunting is about how they wanted different food then crops. Here are just some animals they used to hunt lion,bulls, and dogs. There was a famous lion hunt, it was a hunt for the kings. They used chariot for there ride.
Indus River Valley/ Aryans
Location: They live on the vast banks around the indus river and I know this because in the it said" A vast number of settlements were built on the banks of the indus river. That is how I know where they were located.(Prints Hall Studies)
Architecture/ Technology: They created very well planned cities and I know this because in the text it said" the valley was created very well planned cities. Also in the text it said" Also shown impressive dock yards (prints hall studies)
Writing:In the text it said their writing was called the vedas, and the vedas was mostly used as a religious writing text.And they would describe many victories they had won using that religious text.(prints Hall Studies)
Religion: I know this because there religion is part brahmanism because in the text it said the ancient aryans would use veda as there language and thats there ancient writing. And then they had slowly started shifting to hinduism.(Prints hall studies)
Government: In the text it said that they had a civilization that was called the caste system and whatever system they were born in they stayed in.They would divide there people by class groups, such as the wealthy ones and the poor ones but. They had four class groups those are two of the four.( Prints hall studies)
Ancient Egypt
writing: In the book ancient egypt on page 34 it says that the Scribes had to be experts on the hieroglyphs. Not very many people were able to master it. (Hart)
Location: On page 8 it said "the ancient Egyptians lived on a strip of land on either side of the Nile." Also in the text it says that the red land which was the desert covers over 90 percent of Egypt (Hart)
Architecture: The great pyramids on page 20, they built a burial chamber. and they have a lot of stages of the pyramids, there is a total of 6 stages , they have this staircase to the sky and sun.(Hart)
Religion: Facts about the Egyptians gods and religion, In the book it says hundreds of gods that means there polyestic. They had special amulets for special things for there religions to.
Art: On page 56 it talks about what kind of jewelry the Egyptians wore.They have tons of religious items and things to use to repel ghost's and demons (Hart)
Government: Government: In the text it says, when people approached the king they often kissed the ground at his feet. In the text it also says "The king was not only the most powerful and important man in egypt, he was thought to be a god.(hart 17)
