Ancient china
government: China's emperor/government was Zheng. I know this because on page 16 it stated " To show supremacy over the kings he had vanquished, Zheng took the tittle First sovereign Qin Emperor or Qin SHi Huangdi". He also used his people like slaves to build the Great Wall of China. Zheng suppressed anyone of disagreed with him. (cotteral)
technology:Page 22 stated that " Some of the worlds greatest inventions came from china". Some of the inventions made the world a different place. These inventions include paper money, clockwork, silk, porcelain, fireworks, lites, umbrellas and even the wheelbarrow.(cotteral)
Writing: On page 11 it said that the shang kings used oracle bones to communicate with ancestors about questions. Also it states that " cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question put to the ancestors". The ans]wers on the question written on the ox bone or turtle shell. (Cotterell)
commerce (trade)- In this paragraph on page 58 It stated that the mongol emperor that ruled china from 1279 to 1368 let merchants trade freely throughout their empire. To go along with that it said " International trade thrived because caravans could travel without danger". Lastly this page talked about how china amassed large amounts of luxury goods like silk, spices, teas etc. (cotteral)
Art: Page 56 it read that " China was famous for it's beautiful, high quality ceramics. This is due to parlty to rich deposits of suitable clay and porcelain stone found in china.". On this page it also said that they made basketry out of lacquered inlaid with mother of pearl.(Cotterell)
location: On page 40 it stated " These enclosed urban communities were center government and the power of authorities was reinforced by town planning". It also talked about how markets were usually situated along one of the main streets.(Cotteral)
Religion: In the text on page 26 it said " In imperial china religions beliefs were divided into three ways of confucianism, daoism and buddhism." Also it talked about how China was tolerant of all religions but there were few disagreements but rarely persecuted people for it. (cotterell
