Government: On page 16 says- " The emperor took the the name from quin to become china. It also talks about how their leader was Zheng. And how much power he had.

Writing: In the text it said an ox bone or shell from a tortoises was burned until it cracked. Also, in the text it says that "The cracks were then read to discover the answer to a question put to the ancestors." The oracle bones were mainly used by the shang kings. ( Cottrell 11)
Commerce (trade): On page 58 It says that " China ruled most of the silk road. It also says that chinese merchants were amassed large fortunes by exposing themselves on the silk road. They also had a good trade route so that they would not hurt anyone.

Art: On page 56 It says that" China has always been renowned mostly because of exquisite arts and crafts. China has many artifacts that are like sculptures. You can find statues and paintings. There is a famous terracotta warrior that was surrounded by the emperor quin tin. (Conerall)
Location: On page 38 it says that " The yellowstone river in northern china and the yangzi In the south.Also the yangzi provided a lot of water for the people of china. Yangzi also helped out the china with their water.

Religion: On page 10 and 11 it says that the tang emperors led to the decline of buddhism. It also says that Buddhism is the same as China and india in the 1st century. Then that led to the tang emperors then declined.

Location: In the text it said this area was home to the sumerians,Assyrians,and Babylonians, and they created writing and many inventions.Also according to the text "Most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern iraq."(Steele 6)
writing:The story is about how they wrote and what they did in the year of 3300 BCE they would get concrete stones and make symbols in it as there language.On how they would draw with the concrete stones

Architecture: In the text it says that they would farm and hunt chief sources of food.Also in the text is says that they would use lions or bulls because they are legends and they were gilgamesh. (steele 44)
Religion:on page 14 I read that they built a ziggurat for a god.In The text is also says "They also believed in many ghosts and spirits."(steele 14)
Government: The author wrote said " Sumerian rulers enjoyed great power and fame and their exploits and deeds where remembered for countries." Some rulers where Gilgamesh urk and kings of myth.(Steele 10)
Art: The ancient greeks were influenced by Assyrian art and pottery and sculptures were mostly made.In the wealthier cities they would have the gates became art.(steele 43)

Location:On page 8 it said that"The ancient Egyptians lived on a strip of the Nile river.Also in the text it said that"Red Land,"Which was the desert,covers 90% of Egypt[Hart 8]
writing: On page 34 the author wrote that For business,letters, contacts, and scribes were used for forms of writing.They would use different types of writing to complete things for business.

Religion: On page 24 the author wrote that "Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses,and sometimes it is difficult to work out who was who." Also the author wrote that The pharaoh gods and projection protector of the pharaoh when he went on military campaigns."
government: On gage 10 it said That the king was not the only powerful and important man in egypt.It was known to also be a pharah.
