Ancient Egypt
Location: On page 8 said " the ancient egyptians lived on a strip of land on either side of the nile." Also, in the text it says that the red land which was the desert, covers 90 percent of egypt (hart) 
Writing: On page 34 it said " The could be written from left to right , right to left or top to bottom". Also, the text said " Scribes living at the end of the egyptian civilization also had to be able to write,the language of the overlords". (HART)
Architecture: On page 20 it said " It was supposed to represent a gigantic stairway for the king to climb to join the sun god." Also,in the text it said" It rose in six stages and is called the step pyramid."

Religion : On page 24 said " The egyptians worshiped hundreds of gods and goddesses ,and sometimes it was difficult to work out who was who. Also,in the text it says many of the gods were based off of animals ( Hart)
Government:n On page 12 it said " The king and court gather together , and top officials ,diplomats,and high priests would attend. Also, the text said " When people approach the king people kiss the ground by their feet. (HART)
Art: On page 36 it says " Soldiers first played an important role in egypt around 3000 bce." Also in the text it said " The egyptian amy was very well organized". (HART)
