Mesopotamia
Location: In the text it said this are was home to Sumerians, Assyrians, and Babylonians, and they created writing and may other inventions. Also, according to the text, " Most of ancient Mesopotamia lay within the borders of modern Iraq.'' (Steele 6) 
[Writing]: In the text it said that they first use picture symbols to represent objects that they use often. Also, according to the text, '' By around 3300 BCE the citizen of Uruk were using about 700 different symbols.'' ( Steel 12)
Architecture: In the text it said that they start building ziggurats and temples to live in and to represent something. Also, according to the text, ''But the great age of ziggurat building began in the reign of Ur-Nammu 2112-2095 BCE.'' ( Steel 24)
Religion: In the text it said that the people believe in many gods and the tell you want the gods powers are. Also, according to the text, '' The Sumerians worshiped many gods and Goddesses.'' ( Steel 16)
Art: In the text it said that they mind some ores and they melt it down to make something they want. Also, according to the text," Copper ores were being smelted and molten copper poured into molds." (Steel 28)
Government: In the text it said that the king got to control other people and he ruled over the empire. Also ,according to the text," He has to do the part of the job when he is the ruler." ( Steel 10)
Ancient Egypt
Location: On page 8 it said that" The ancient Egyptians lived on a strip of land on either side of the Nile." Also, in the text it says that the "Red Land," which was the desert, covers 90 percent of Egypt. (Hart)
Writing: On page 34 it said that " Scribes had to be an expert in writing hieroglyphs, an elaborate form of the picture writing." Also, according to the text it had to be difficult because so the other people would understand it. (Hart)
Architecture: On page 20 it said that" The gigantic stairway for the king to climb to join the Sun god in the sky." Also, in the text it says"They build the pyramid for the burial place of King Djoser by his gifted architect Imhotep." (Hart)
Religion: On page 24 it said that" The Egyptians worshiped hundreds of different gods and goddesses, and sometimes it is difficult to work out who was who." Also, in the text it says that the god take animals at different time. (Hart)
Government: On page 10 it said that" The king was not only the most powerful and important man in Egypt, he was thought to be a god." Also, according to the text it said" He was know as the pharaoh a word that derives from a respectful way of referring to the king as the great house." (Hart)
Art: On page 58 it said that" Many objects like combs, mirrors, and cometic holders have survived to show how important personal appearance was to them." Also, in the text they said that" They use eye paint, which was made from minerals ground fine slate palettes."( Hart)
Ancient China
Government: In the text it said that the Qin emperor was the first ruler of china and he built thousands of terracotta warriors so he still can be a powerful man afterlife. Also, the text said that" He used his subject as slave laborers to build the Great wall of china." The Qin emperor was a cruel man because he let others suffer and he got whatever he wanted.(cottrell 16)
Technology: In the text it said that the emperor of China told their people to share and spread their invention and their technology with other countries. Also in the text it said that" In time, paper and printing dramatically improved communication; gunpowder change the way in which battles were fought; a harness for draft animals revolutionized agriculture; and boat equipped with magnetic compass, the sternpost rudder, and watertight buoyancy chambers were able to embark on great voyage of discovery." That the invention makes a huge impact for other countries back then. (cottrell 22)
Writing: In the text it said an ox bone or shell from a tortoise was burned until it cracked. Also, the text said that" The cracks were then read to recover the answer to a question put to the ancestors." The oracle bones were mainly used by the Shang kings. ( cottrell 11)
Commerce (Trade): In the text it said that" the silk road from northern China across Asia." Also, in the text it said that the merchant to trade freely throughout their vast empire but they limited how far they can trade because they transport a lot of good and there be danger if they went somewhere new. The merchant traded to other people for the emperor. (cottrell 58)
Art: In the text it said that they were built to protect the Emperor Qin tomb. Also, in the text it said that" No two soldiers have the same face each is individual portraits of soldiers from the Qin army." The Terracotta warriors used to carry real weapons but later it was stolen by the grave robber. (cottrell 16)
Location: In the text it said that the yellow river flows through the rich loess soil of its surrounding northern plains. Also, in the text it said that" the yellow river often broke its banks and causes devastating floods." The yellow river stretched across the Chinese empire. (cottrell 38)
Religion: In the text it said that Confucius brings people together and is part of the family instead of fighting for power. Also, the text said that" He said that a good ruler should set an example by dealing fairly with his subject, using force only as a last resort." Confucius was the best thinker in China. (cottrell 12)
