Report Writing based around something that emerges from NZ Histories curriculum.
Student-selected writing based around topic from Aotearoa history. If teachers gives topic e.g. Springbok Tours. Then students can select writing style. E.g. narrative of someone there. (Fictional) recount. A poem. An explanation.
Digital Technology opportunities will be plentiful. Classes/teachers will select the tools best suited to purpose.

MUSIC
Maori teaching techniques that relate to Music, body percussion games and music games
Pacifika and Maori cultural involvement trough music.
ART
Māori Pastel and Paint Unit.
Artist models- Tracey Tawhiao and Raewyn Harris.
Students will research artists and learn about Māori traditional images and patterns, and how the artists have used these in their contemporary art.
Students will compose and complete 2 art works informed by the artist models.

Pae ora is a holistic concept and includes 3 interconnected elements:
mauri ora – healthy individuals
whānau ora – healthy families
wai ora – healthy environments.
All 3 elements of pae ora are interconnected and mutually reinforcing, and further strengthen the strategic direction for Māori health for the future, HOWEVER, our focus is on all individuals as a Māori world view is infact an approach to improve overall hauora for all

Whānau ora is a priority for individuals. Where is our whānau ora strong? Where can I help improve my whānau ora? Students identify areas they would like to improve and set goals and an action plan to report back their findings.

Healthy environments - Unpack concerns or issues in our class, community, friendships, school. What can you do to improve your chosen are of concern?
Boredom at lunchtime? What can you do to create a healthy environment?
Rubbish litter in school? What can you do to continue a tidy healthy school?
