What increases the growth rate of Euglena? - Coggle Diagram
What increases the growth rate of Euglena?
Variables
Temperature
optimal temperature may alter how quickly Euglena consume and mutliply
Type of liquid
Ph level of liquid
creating an optimal ph level will make the growth faster for the Euglena, theough having the mixture being too basic or acidic will harm the bacteria
what liquid it is (water or different?)
The type of drink may change how well the Euglena survive. Water is most likely the best because it is the liquid that euglena evolved in, but sugary drinks may give extra energy (if they do not straight up kill the bacteria)
type of water (salt/fresh)
May provide good results, as Euglena is found in both freshwater and saltwater.
amount of nutrients in liquid
The amount of nutrients could change how quickly the Euglena can reproduce, and may increase survival rates
Light
Intensity
Changes the amount of energy the euglena get from photosynthesis
Wavelength
Light wavelength will change how effetive photosynthesis is. Making it too high or too low would reduce the energy Euglena get from light, and even damage them at extreme wavelengths
Organisms other than Euglena also in the mixture
Euglena are capable of photosynthesis, but they can also eat other organisms. Whether other organisms help by being food, or hinder the Euglena by competing for food can be seen in an experiment
Types of nutrients/food
Would change the nutrients that the euglena get, making them grow faster or slower
Variable Measurement
ph measurement
