structure
Shakespeare structure is very similar to Greek tragedy containing 5 acts which the is general number and these make up the play
split up into the 5 acts which are: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and catastrophe
in the exposition the main characters are introduced along with the key plot and setting and this is found in act one and this is where the theme of murder is introduced
rising action is when a chain of events occur which is when Macbeth is persuaded to kill Duncan is act 2
falling action is when the main conflict is established with the antagonist this is when Macbeth finds out that Macduff is his enemy
climax is the turning point and is the downfall of the main character which the deteration of Macbeth's mental health in act 3

Macduff
Macduff is a royal officer has a good connection to the king as he access to king chambers when he is at his most vulnerable. when the king is dead he is horrified and can not find words to describe the horror

it is thought that Macduff is always suspicious of Macbeth as he wonders why Macbeth kills the guards so fast and also he didn't go to Macbeth coronation
Macduff is seen as an angel as he comes the England seeking Malcolm and army to help to defeat Macbeth and get revenge for his family
Macduff and Macbeth can be seen as to sides of a coin as both are brave and noble soldiers of Scotland and both are dedicated to their family and both are willing to kill to secure the future. however Macduff fights for Scotland and Macbeth fights for himself
throughout the play he shows all the noble qualities of the 1600s which is bravery ,loyalty and selflessness
GUILT
The most dramatic change of guilt is with Lady M and she ridicules' Macbeth for his guilt of killing the king but then gains guilt after the brutal murder of MacDuff family

lady M sleepwalks with guilt mummering in her sleep and washing her hands repetitively as if she had the blood of Macduff and king Duncan on her HANDS
