Globe – Housed in the bony orbit, the globe of the eye is divided into anterior and posterior compartments. The anterior compartment, located anterior to the lens, contains the Cornea and Iris and is filled with Aqueous humor, whereas the posterior compartment, surrounded by the Retina, contains the Vitreous humor. The four Rectus muscles and two Oblique muscles act together to abduct, adduct, and rotate the eyeball.
