Enters the spleen and liver. Acrid, bitter and warm. This herb regulates qi, Firstly, it promotes qi movement in the spleen and stomach. It also regulates Liver qi, but to a lesser degree. Good for nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal distention and other spleen/stomach issues.
DUI YAO - Bing Lang
Bing Lang directs qi downward while Mu Xiang promotes spleen qi Movement. Together they treat middle jiao qi stagnation and food stagnation. Used together in Mu Xiang Bing Lang wan.
Bing Lang 10-12g, Mu Xiang 5-10g
DUI YAO - Huang Lian
Used together in Xiang Lian Wan to clear heat, transform damp and regulate qi to relieve dysentery. Mu Xiang is specific for treating tenesmus and directs the action to the Large Intestine.
