Brief
Days of Type is a project that invites Designers, Illustrators and Graphic Artists to express their personal interpretation of letters and numbers in our alphabet. 36 days of restless creativity, where participants are challenged to design a letter or number each day, resulting in an outcome of the ability to represent the same symbol from many different perspectives. The project aims to be a space for creation around typography and its endless graphic possibilities.
For this assessment task you are to illustrate a series of letterforms based on a theme, running from A-Z (and then 0-9). You are free to choose the media and size of your original illustrations. Experiment with techniques before you begin, it helps to be consistent once started, as this forms the basis of the challenge.
Aim of the Assessment
Once you have completed the days of type challenge (min 26, max 36) scan or photograph your original illustrations and create a series of 10 postcards.
