Diagnosis
Uncomplicated is usually reached by clinical features
Confirm with laboratory testing if indicated
Management
Uncomplicated can be managed at home with hydration and treatment aimed at symptom relief.

Antivirals only indicated if
Public Health Scotland indicate due to influenza circulating
The person is in an "at risk" group
Within 48 hours of onset of symptoms.
