Characters
Bob Cratchit: When we first meet Bob Cratchit we see his is scrooges clerk. We are shown he is a hardworking, humble and family centred man and is essentially the opposite of scrooge. He puts up with scrooges grouchy, rude and miserable attitude whilst upkeeping a happy and enthusiastic mood. We can see he is a hardworking man as despite scrooges attitude towards him and the horrendous working environment he works in
Scrooges initial values: At the start of the book we see Scrooge only values money and work and takes little or no joy out of Christmas and fun activities
Why is Fezziwig a good character? Fezziwig is shown to be a good character as he is shown to be compassionate and car for his workers, he is shown as a man loved by the not only his employees but also the community as he invites everyone for a Christmas party at his factory
Why is Fred a good nephew: Fred is shown to be a good nephew as despite scrooges being very rude and dismissive of his Christmas celebrations he invites him every year in case he changes his mind and wants to be with his family
I believe the ghost of Christmas yet to come doesn't speak because unlike the ghost of Christmas past and ghost of Christmas present he is not there to guide scrooge in the right direction therefore he does not speak or answer his questions he is there to allow scrooge to work out how to fix his ways on his own and the fact he doesn't answer questions may be to increase emphasis on the final question when scrooge asks 'Are these the shadows of things that will be, or are these the things that may be'
How has scrooge changed by the end? By the end scrooge has become very generous with his riches, meets his family instead of pushing them away and makes sure he treats bob well and even gives his family gifts for Christmas
