Types of traction
Skin traction
-
Equipment used: traction kit, weight in kg, dressing pack if any wound
Bucks traction:used to immobilize a fracture to prevent hip flexion contracture and reduce muscle spasms.

Skeletal traction
Used in larger period than skin traction, to realign bones, joints and congenital hip dysphasia

Surgically done where pins or K-wires are inserted inside the bone, either partially or completely to align and immobilize fractured bone

Internal fixation
Those are some devices which are plates, pins, cortical screw, nods, K-wires which are surgically inserted to realign the fracture
During that surgical procedure of internal fixation in the bone, at regular intervals X-ray is used for proper and correct insertion.
