        Hinduism is a collection of beliefs and they have over hundreds of deities. Deities - Hindu deities are the gods and goddesses in Hinduism.
        
        Puja takes place at home or in at temples. The place of worship is called the Mandir. Ceremonial worship is done in this time.

      - They believe in reincarnation. Through a cycle called samsara. Everything you do in this lifetime connect to your next life. Practicing religion is a way to be free from all of the mistakes that are made.
        
        How do Hindus view the state of human life?
        
        Moksha - Moksha is when the soul is released from this material world and done with the cycle of life, death, and reincarnation Atman - what leaves the body when they are releases from the current world they live in.
        
        They live their life in good karma to achieve the understanding of atman and Brahman (example: spiritual or religious tendencies, good health, wealth, and more). This releases them from a life in this world (moksha).
      - How do Hinduism and Jainism encourage moral conduct?
        
        Hindus moral code include: Not to be full of ones self, no hypocrisy, no lying, make agreements, commit to chastity, be compassionate
        
        Jainism moral code includes: no stealing, truthfulness, non violence, commit to chastity (outside of marriage), be humble
        
        Their differences: Hinduism believes the Universe was created by Brahma, the creator. Jainism believes the Universe itself is eternal and powerful. Jainism believes it was never created as it is eternal. The Jains also thought that ritual was unnecessary
        
        Jains also believe that ritual is unnecessary. Non violence is bolded in the code list because they avoid harming any living creature to a big extent. They sweep ants away to not step on them, they wear masks to avoid ingesting an insect on an accident. Jains refuse to eat meat from any animal. Jains also looked for occupations that would not harm any creature.

        The Eightfold Path is called the middle way because it is the path between desires and self-denial
        
        Eightfold Path consists of eight practices: Right View, Right Resolve, RIght Speech, Right Conduct, Right Livelihood, RIght Effort, Right Mindfulness, & Right Samadhi(Meditative absorption or union)(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noble_Eightfold_Path#:~:text=The%20Eightfold%20Path%20consists%20of,alternatively%2C%20equanimous%20meditative%20awareness).
      - 4 Noble Truths: 1st- Life is full of suffering | 2nd- Suffering is caused by people's selfish desires and temporary pleasures of this world. | 3rd-To end all suffering is to end all desires | 4th-To overcome such desires and attain enlightenment is to follow the Eightfold path which is the middle way between desires and self-denial
      - Buddhism took the belief of reincarnation of Hinduism, and also rejected the Caste System of Hinduism, the final goal of both religions (Moksha for Hindus - Nirvana for Buddhist) are similar.
        
        Why would Buddhism appeal to Laborers & Craftspeople?
        
        Because Buddhism rejected the Caste System, it became more of an appeal to them because they would no longer be at the bottom of the Caste System
      - During centuries following the Buddha's death, missionaries were able to spread his faith over large parts of Southeast Asia in third century BC. His ideas also traveled along Central Asia trade routes to China.
        
        Why is there a link between Trade & Religion?
        
        The link between trade and religion is present because trading is what allowed the religion to spread far and wide across areas as traders traveled. Because of traders Buddhism became the most widespread religion of East Asia.
