The rise of christianity
God had promised that a savior known as the Messiah would arrive and restore the kingdom of the Jews. Two decades after the beginning of Roman rule, many believed that the savior had arrived.

Cause and effect

When Apostle Paul started spreading the word of christianity, people would learn about it, then talk about it too. He started an effect where more and more people were learning about the faith, than spreading the word themselves.

Romans saw the change that was happening in their communities. With peoples beliefs changing, it also changed how people thought socially and politically, and the romans were threatened by it. They were upset with christians for promoting these different beliefs and Romans decided to punish them for it.

Religion itself begins and grows because of the support of people. But at the time not everyone had access to a textbook definition on how to follow different religions so when people heard about it, they interpreted it differently than others. And even though they interpreted it differently they could be equally invested.
