The Government was controlled by the priests and was the protection of the people and the coordinators of public buildings. They taxed the people to have money to pay for the buildings and help the city thrive.
The people were controlled my their higher counterparts. Kings and Priests controlled everyone below them, Nobles controlled everyone below them, so one and so forth.

Achievements (Isabel)
- created Arithmetic and geometry to develop city walls and irrigation systems
- They created cuneiform in which one of the first known maps was made
- The wheel
- Created Bronze by smelting Copper and Tin together
Significance
- The world is made up of many different shapes and many structures are dependent on geometry
- Today Arithmetic is used to tell the time so your calendar, watches, and clocks are all working because of arithmetic
- The wheel was one of the first technological advancements now seen everywhere in everyday life. Not only in car wheels but also the gears in an engine, all work because of the wheel.
- Cuneiform is not used today but was used back then as a means of communication with other people.
- Bronze was an advancement that started the building and creation of stronger materials and tools and buildings.

Mesopotamia was located in Southwest Asia, in the Fertile Crescent, between 2 rivers (Tigris and Euphrates)

- These three roles made up the highest level in Sumerian society
Wealthy Merchants
- This role was next and handled most trade
Ordinary Sumerians
- Most people worked with their hands in fields and workshops
Slaves/Peasants
- These groups were at the lowest level in Sumerian society.

Economy (Brooke) The key products that the civilization could trade were woven baskets because they didn't have a lot of natural resources.
Traded: Tools, Utilities, and Food for Natural resources, Building materials, and foreign or different types of food and animals
Religion (Brooke) They believed in different Gods which is called polytheism. This affected the people who lived there by giving them the idea to have specialized workers. From that people could make temples for them to worship in.
