Interconnectedness of circulatory, respiratory, digestive systems
Respiratory system
Inhaling
The air travels down the windpipe as we breath and it goes to the lungs which separates oxygen from other gases present in air.
-
Circulatory system
All the blood vessels in our body our part of the circulatory system and they pump blood all around our body.
Blood vessels
-
Veins
Veins transfer de-oxidized blood back to the heart. The only veins that don't carry de-oxidized blood all around the body are the ones that transfer oxidized blood back to the heart from the lungs.
-
Heart
Pumps blood and transfers it into veins that deliver it to the lungs which oxidize the blood and send it back to the heart which sends the blood to go all around the body return back to the heart to restart the cycle. #
The heart delivers carbon dioxide from the blood back to the lungs. #
Digestive system
The food travels down the windpipe after being chewed and softened by saliva. It travels down the windpipe and into the stomach. It gets sprayed with more acids and oxygen to soften it and break it down. The food goes into the the small intestine which transfers the waste nutrients to the anus and the good nutrients into the blood to get circulated. # #
