- - - - The Mesopotamian earliest government was ruled by temple priests. The reason why they were so heavily respected was because the Sumerians thought that the priest would pray on their behalf to get blessings from their god for crops etc.
    - - Artisans are a worker the specializes in a specific trade or craft producing a limited amount using traditional methods. Their main purpose was to make everyday items like dishes, pots, clothing, boats and weapons.They also created works of art to glorify the Gods and Kings.
    - - Not only did farmers farm, but they also had to get water to there land so they made an irrigation system they dug holes in the ground so that water from other ditches could water they're crops.

        Normal slaves are foreigners captured in wars and are permanently slaves
      - Debt Slaves are slaves that are eventually able to be free once they have payed off their debt.
    - - Kings were not only meant to rule the land but they also had to be a warrior, a religious leader, a hunter, scholar, a lawmaker and a builder being a king meant you had to do many different jobs
    - - Merchants were traders. They traded between cities and sold goods in market places.
    - - Scribes might have had one of the most important jobs. They would have to learn to read and write in cuneiform so that they could record down important things for example a kings declaration
