Building a Channel V.2
This is a visual resource for building a stream that is content first. The idea is that you spend more time using the left side of the map more than any other. After you cover the basics, use everything else to learn what your options are, then build a palette that you will apply to your stream. Start simple, but continuously add to keep your stream building, and your content fresh!

NETWORKING
An ADVANCED step which will provide greater benefits the more you understand yourself, your channel, your content, and what you bring to the table.
It takes time to build relationships. Do not go into networking with any expectations. Expect things to be very messy as you learn more about people. Always do your best and provide as much effort as you can. At times it will resemble speed dating as lots of people do not have clear guidance on what business networking is.
Networking and Making Friends are two different processes that frequently get confused with each other. Be clear and up front with your intent.

STRUCTURES
These are general ways to play with the overall structure and pacing of a stream.
ANY idea can be used in ANY structure! You donot have to change the structure of your stream.

3-ACT Story Structure
ACT ONE:
Introduce Yourself
Catch up with people
Talk about what s planned for the stream
Set up the challenges or goals to accomplish with accompanying stakes. Incorporate important and seemingly benign info.
ACT TWO
This triggers the action and marches through the story and challenges. The climax of act 2 is a confrontation, big loss, or twist
ACT THREE:
The climax and attempt at the accomplishment of the stream. A showdown where all the work all leads up to this point and maxes out the effort to push through. The end could be the resolution or a cliffhanger. A seemingly bit of benign info set up at the beginning can be the key to the solution to the struggles of the streamer.
RADIO STRUCTURE
This is when the show has several defined segments and broken up periodically with breaks. The flow becomes familiar and expected. Some segments are present in each show, and others are special surprises. No single segment lasts too long or outshines any other intentionally. The mix of experiences opens more opportunities for people to find something they can enjoy enough to return.
Segment Examples:
- Intro/Housekeeping
- News/Updates
- Stories
- Games
- Emails/voicemails/Q&A
- Interviews
- Segments led by other people
- Musical/Creative Guests (short)
-
-
CONCERT STRUCTURE
Has a focus on the managing flow, emotions, and energy level of the show.

Step two:
Stream Structure
- Starting Soon Screen
- Opening Just Chatting Segment
- Main Activity
- Ending Segment
This gives you a known, working model to build from.
Step three:
TALK ALL THE TIME
Talk about your likes and interests. Do everything you can to fill the stream with words. Quality is not the goal, QUANTITY is.
Step four:
Play with Emotional Variety
When you're happy, express happiness.
When you'er confused, express confusion... etc.
-
Tips for your Opening Segment:
As soon as you switch to your stream, YOU ARE ON! Nothing should distract you from talking to your stream
-
Steps 1-4 should be handled within 5 or so streams, for most people. Mastery is not required. Do not over think the steps
DM me with a vod length when you think you have completed the 4 steps.
When it is completed, you can start bringing List two into the stream. You are not backsliding to old habits, just replacing unstructured material with content that has a purpose.
This NEXT Stage is all about increasing the amount of material you have for the stream. The goal is to make your stream MORE enjoyable at all levels.
Every part of your stream has been addressed and thought through. Simple or Complicated... as long as there is intent and purpose, they can both be effective ways to attract and retain your audience.

1) Each Platform you are ACTIVE on has to have content that is cross posted from other platforms as well as unique content.
2) Initiate stories and interactions that transcend platforms. These can also be started on someone elses page. Not every story has to be about you.
