Definition
It is a break, usually in a bone. If the broken bone punctures the skin, it is called open or compound fracture.
Sprain fracture, is a stretching or tearing of a ligamen.
Dislocation, the end of your bones are forced from their normal position.
Pathophysiology
Bone fracture when more force is applied to the bone than the bone can take. Bones are weakest when they are stwisted. Bone fractures can be caused by fall, injuries, or as a result of a direct hit or kick to the body. Overuse or repetitive motion can tire muscles and put more pressure on the bone.
