        Politically, through her speeches in the West, Soong helped the West gain a positive perception of China.         Economically, Soong Mei-ling represented the Chinese woman of the new era, who, as a Western-educated woman, was more aware of the need for economic freedom for women.         Socially, she abolished foot-binding for women and allowed intermarriage between Manchus and Chinese. It helped to get rid of bad social customs and further liberate people's minds.
    - - In politics, Shangguan Wan'er can be seen as the most outstanding prime minister in Chinese history. Possessing great literary skills and political skills, she worked under Wu Zetian and helped to clutch and write a large number of official documents, as well as poems needed for rituals and other purposes.
