Aizawa deduces it's his punishment for expelling the entire class the previous year.
        
        On a plane to Japan, Marshall Jacobsen and Lily Hart are calming down their friend Maria Fyre who has a fear of heights. However, at the same time, they're speaking in Japanese, which Ellie isn't as fluent in, which annoys her.
        
        Marshall becomes worried about the stigma around quirkless people in Japan, so Lily says she and Maria will help where they can, but Marshall is gonna be a greater hero than those bullies, especially with Lily at his side. Maria teases the two about their supposed relationship which they deny.
        
        The three meet a mute guy Shawn Price, who starts out using a pen and paper, and offers to teach them ASL. The four get off the plane together and sit on the bus to UA together.
        
        Peggy McCoy joins them while they're on the bus, and they find her cute because her voice is lightly bubbly because she's made of slime and is still learning how to form vocal chords correctly.
