Bilingualism refers to the different degrees of mastery with which an individual manages to communicate in more than one language and one culture.
The second language is the one that is essential for official, commercial, social and educational activities or the one that is required for communication between the citizens of a
country.
The foreign language on the other hand, is one that is not spoken in the immediate and local environment, since daily social conditions do not require its permanent use for communication.
