Physical Geography

- Geomorphology: Study of shape, form, or structure of a mountain,
- Climatology: Studies how climate changes over time and is affected by human actions.
- Biogeography: The branch of biology that deals with the geographical distribution of plants and animals.
- Soil-geography: Studies the pattern of distribution of soils on the earth’s surface for the purpose of soil-geographic regionalization.
- Hydrology: Study of water on and beneath the earth’s surface, with regards to its occurrence, distribution, movement and properties as well as its relationship with the environment within each phase of the water cycle.
- Oceanography: Study of oceans, the life that inhabits them, and their physical characteristics, including the depth and extent of ocean waters, their movement and chemical makeup, and the topography and composition of the ocean floors.

Coastal geography: Study of the constantly changing region between the ocean and the land, incorporating both the physical geography and the human geography (sociology and history) of the coast.
Paleography: Study of ancient writing systems and the deciphering and dating of historical manuscripts.

Studies urban problems, geopolitical trends, economics, and health issues, etc.

Political Geography: The branch of geography that deals with the boundaries, divisions, and possessions of states.
Population Geography: Study of people, their spatial distributions and density.
Urban geography is the study of areas which have a high concentration of buildings and infrastructure.
transportation geography: Branch of geography that investigates the movement and connections between people, goods and information on the Earth's surface.
Medical geography: helps us understand the problems of diseases in the environment, the spread of diseases, the sources of diseases, the causes and area of diseases spread and how these diseases relate to the environment.
Economic geography is the subfield of human geography which studies economic activity and factors affecting them.
