stem cells
undifferentiated cell of a multicellular organism that can form more cells of the same type indefinitely, and from which certain other kinds of cells arise by differentiation.

Stargardt disease is a degenerative disease that causes loss of vision. injecting stem cells into the retina can cause regrowth of tissue and regain vision
Leukaemia: A type of cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow caused by high levels of abnormal WBCs. hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) cells are taken from bone marrow, puerperal blood, or umbilical cord and put in the bone marrow to grow new undisposed white blood cells.
Cell structure
prokaryotes
Cell wall: Encloses the cell, protecting it and helping to maintain its shape; prevents the cell from bursting in hypotonic (dilute) media.
Plasma membrane: Surrounds the cell, controlling the movement of substances in and out of the cell.
-
Pili (singular: pilus): Protein filaments on the cell wall that help in cell adhesion and in transferring of DNA between two cells.
-
-
Nucleoid region (which includes naked DNA) Controls all the activities of the cell, as well as the reproduction of the organism.
