Build Stage 1 - Bridge
The real solutions are outside your organization. The correct way for any company to start a digital transformation is to look outside.
In fact, your company’s very need for digital transformation is evidence that gaps have formed that separate your company’s current state internally, with the people it’s meant to serve and the marketplace and sector it operates in.
To close them, you need to find out what your current and prospective customers want and expect, what technology exists to do it best and what business models and partnerships you could adopt to make the whole operation more sustainable. gaps like these are the root of any company’s need for digital transformation, and the purpose of stage 1: Bridge is to close them.

External Gaps
There is no such thing as an organization that exists to serve the people who staff and manage the organization itself – to do otherwise would make it a society or community.
the longer an organization has been operating and the bigger it’s grown, the easier it is to lose sight of this basic principle.
All organizations are faced with rapidly evolving external needs and conditions shaped by digital technology. Even when new digital innovations target us at home, the expectations they create quickly extend into our professional and consumer lives.
every organization has to align to external conditions beyond its control Understanding the impact of digital technology on your customers is the key to identifying ways your organization needs to transform to meet those evolved expectations.
As a result of these and the many other expectations shaped by digital technology and the brands that created them, we all expect interactions with every organization to be more tailored to our individual preferences because the technology enables it so well.
