Our identity is contructed as a result of how others view us and how we view ourselves, this is related with our culture because the culture as well as the culture develop in and specific environment(society), is what give us the structures in our lives.
For example depending of the place where we born our culture will be about a specific way and so on we're be able to develop our identity.
