Air is inhaled every time we breath, Oxygen enters our body, but so does Carbon Dioxide (a waste product). To only retain the oxygen and not CO2, the gases must enter the body through our nose and mouth. Then, it enters the lungs al the way to this small capsules called alveoli, connected to blood vessels. Once the blood gets oxygenated, CO2 gets expelled of the body when we exhale, and the whole process begins again as long as we breath.
