Muscular Tissue: Periaxial mesoderm movements within the body, regulated by nerves. Cell is MYOFIBER
Voluntary ( Skeletal)
Sarcolemme: myofiber of striated muscle and convoluted cell membrane.
Sarcoplasm: cytoplasm
Sarcoplasmic R: smooth er
-
Proteins involvved Myosin and Actin.
Have THICK filaments in wavy straight lines.
In between the "Z" (AKA A band)
In Sarcolemma (membrame), there are T Tubules, which help move depolarization messages throughout the entire cell.
TRIAD: 2 sER and a t-tubule
Involuntary
CARDIAC
Striated: has sarcomeres, t tubules, and sER
Forms BRANCHED spheres and uses desmosomes and macula adhereins and gap junctions
-
More round and can be interrelated discs.
have Purkinje fibers which are specialized cardiac muscle cells and have conduction capabilities. Found on the inside of ventricles. AKA pacemaker cells.
Smooth
Has actin and mysoin, but is NOT well organization and has no sarcomeres. Contraction is weak and slow and occurs slowly (GI TRACT)
Bundles of smooth muscle. Can see Central Nuclei and cells can overlapp and weave. Elongated and spindle shaped.
Nuclei are centrally located, no striations, and in cross sectional, they are small bundles.
Epithelial Tissues
Simple
-
Cubodial
Thyroid Gland, Kidney Tubules
-
-
Stratified
Cuboidal (not common)
ovarian follicles, sweat glands
-
-
Squamous
Epidermis, esophagus, tongue, oral cavity, vaginal lining
Nervous System: coordinate and regulate everything and originates from ectoderm
input->integration->output
