Definition
The uterus, also commonly known as the womb, A hollow muscular organ in the pelvic cavity of the female, in which the embryo is nourished and develops before birth.

The uterus has an estimated length of 5 to 7 cm and width of 5 cm. it is 2.5 cm deep in its widest part.
Nerve supply
Nerve supply – from the autonomic nervous system,sympathetic and para smpathetic via pelvic plexus.
Location
It is located at the lower pelvis, which is posterior to the bladder and anterior to the rectum
