Ethnic groups help each other and form cultural areas like Chinatown and Little Tokyo.
It adopts the hybrid architectural style of China and the west, and adds the bay window and "cheater floor" in the western characteristics. The Chinese characteristics are tile roofs, lattice windows, moon shaped doors and embedded balconies, which are similar to the characteristic buildings in southern China.
In the early days, the crowded residential areas in Chinatown caused social problems such as pornography, gambling and drugs, and were also continuously suppressed by the local anti-Asian alliance. People are also affected by these social problems and do not want to visit Chinatown. This phenomenon is not only found in Chinatowns but also in geographically restricted areas such as Little Tokyo and most of the loggers.
Urban poor areas, marginalized.
In the face of social isolation and lack of family, all kinds of "outsiders" regard streets and bars as their homes.
With the survival and development of each nation here, this city has become a unique place: a hybrid city.

People like Hong Kong's rich are very rich.
Local developers have seized the business opportunities. They believe that wealthy Hong Kong buyers want magnificent houses and believe in Feng Shui. In order to maximize profits, they transformed the residential area and suburb into a mixed residential style.
These houses look "western" in style, but they also have a common feature: they reflect Hong Kong's "Chinese style taste". For example, these houses are much larger than their neighbors, with large entrances and double doors. The box is covered with coloured bricks. And without green plants and gardens, usually paved with cement.
Local people use "monster houses" to satirize these houses. Although both the monster house and Chinatown are hybrid buildings, the monster house has aroused great opposition in the local area.
The reason for this phenomenon is that the construction of the monster house in the elite community makes people question the privileged status of the center. Before that, they might have thought that the building type of Chinatown was just a marginal building for an outsider. The local people will naturally divide such buildings from their core buildings. In the face of the invasion of the monster house, they began to doubt whether the mixed buildings had threatened the identity of the dominant group.
Among the newcomers, Hong Kong Chinese are very eye-catching. They conduct large-scale real estate transactions and integrate into the "white" core with different lifestyles.
