Structures of Poem: Theme, Tone/Mood, Metaphor, Hyperbole, Alliteration, Simile, Assonance, Consonance, Stanza, Rhyme, Rhyme Scheme, Imagery, Personification, Onomatopoeia, and Repetition.

Definition:
Theme is the main topic of the poem.
Tone/Mood is the author's attitude or atmosphere and emotion in the poem created by the poet.
Stanza are the group of lines in the poem.
Rhyme are the repetition of end sounds.
Repetition are those that occurs when poet's repeat words, phrases, lines in a poem.
Hyperbole is defined as an intentionally exaggerated description or comparison.
Rhyme Scheme are those that can be determined by marking similarly rhyming lines of the poem with a letter of the alphabet.
Imagery It engages the human senses; see, hear, taste, touch, smell. It represents object, action, and idea which appeal our sense.
Simile is the way of saying something is similar to something else.
Onomatopoeia is a word that formed through a sound.
Metaphor are the way of making comparison between things by stating that one thing is literally something else.
Assonance are those that involves the repetition of the internal vowel sounds.
Consonance are those that involves the repetition of consonant sound in nearby words, especially at the end of the words.
Personification are the way of giving humans qualities and feelings to things that are not human.
Alliteration are those that involves the repetition of the initial consonant sound of a series of words.
Example:
Theme: romantic
Tone/Mood: sad
Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ABAB
Consonance: "Mike likes his new bike"
Assonance: "He likes her back, but she doesn't know."
Personification: "My alarm clock yells at me to get out of bed every morning."
Alliteration: "The kangaroo kicked the kid."
Simile: "As big as an gorilla."
Rhyme: "Roses are red, violets are blue. Sugar is sweet, and so are you."
Stanza:
Imagery: smelling.
Hyperbole: "Her body trembled harder than a huge earthquake, And when she opened up her mouth, let there be no mistake, She let out the most terrifying, awful shrieking scream, The likes of which a million banshees only dared to dream."
Repetition:
Metaphor: "The night is a big black cat"
Simile:
Onomatopoeia: "As she put jump at the puddle, the water goes splash splash."
