      - d) Is the load too heavy, bulky to lift safely---need assistance/Can the load be reduced?(Dont carry loads more than 23.5kg)

    - - g) Be sure that the load is "free" to move.
      - h) Check that the path and the destination of the load is free of obstacles and debris
      - Grease, oil, water, litter, debris can cause slips and falls.

    - - Start with one knee on the floor, use the strength of your arms to raise the object up onto your mid-thigh, and then use the power of your legs to stand up

    - - Proper grip---Grasp the object keeping fingers underneath it, distribute weight evenly-----prevent slippage
      - i) Use your leg muscles(crouch lift), not your back, to generate the lifting force
      - j) Always check before lifting to see if mechanical aids (hoists, lift trucks dollies, wheelbarrows) are available
