Stage 2: Training
On-the-job: Employees are trained during work hours like shadowing or mentoring
Off-the-job: Employees are given time off work to train away from the job

Difference between inspection and appraisal: Inspection is more judgmental based with no positive reviews and communication is one sided
Appraisal methods: Formative, summative, 360 degree, self-appraisal
Performance of employee's is reviewed during this stage
Stage 4: Termination
Dismissal: The employee breaks one or more rules of the business, so the employer breaks the contract.
Redundancy: This happens when the business no longer has any work for employee's. Voluntary redundancy and involuntary redundancy may happen
Termination: The employee chooses to leave the organization at the end of their contract
