Canadian government system
This is the form of political organization in descending form
It is divided into two forms, the form of the crown and the federal system.
Federal system
Each province has its prime minister and the territories have their commissioner
Mayor at municipal level
Prime Minister of Canada, he is chosen by the people and wins by the majority of votes.
The crown
The Governor of Canada
He is the queen's representative but cannot make any decisions and is only in charge of signing the laws and/or decrees that were approved by the Senate and the House of Commons.
The head of the crown is Queen Isabel II
governs in Canada but at the same time does not govern.
Each province has a governor general who represents the crown in that province.
The Senate
They are appointed on the recommendations of the Prime Minister.
There are a total of 105 senators.
Senators hold office until they are 75 years old.
House of commons
It is composed of members of parliament and are elected by the people.
Elections are every 4 years but have a power period of 5 years.
There are a total of 308 members that compose it.
